After relegation last season and a year of protests and calls for manager Steve Kean’s head, Blackburn fans are now expecting their manager to aid the club in a swift return to the Premier League. Kean will want to keep the nucleus of his squad but at the moment their bad luck hasn’t ended with relegation as new £3m summer signing, Leon Best, has been ruled out for the season with cruciate ligament damage. Kean is seeking replacements and has taken James Vaughan on loan from Norwich.
